Story of Casablanca Café
Formally a nightlife venue in the 80s and 90s, Casablanca Lounge’s transformation into a café serving Starbucks allowed for creative inspirations from the past to remain. The entire interior is covered in Casablanca wall art, photography from the film, as well as a TV with Casablanca on loop for guests to take a trip down one of cinema’s most well known movies.

Casablanca is a 1943 American romantic-drama film directed by Michael Curtiz and based on Murray Burnett and Joan Alison’s unproduced stage play ‘Everybody Comes to Rick’s’.
The film stars Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, and Paul Henreid. Set during World War II, the film focuses on an American expatriate who must choose between his love for a woman and helping her and her husband, a Czech Resistance leader, escape from the Vichy-controlled city of Casablanca to continue his fight against the Nazis.
